Internship: Business Development / Sales

Muscat, Oman · Full Time (Limited Duration, Full Time Internship)


Overview of Position

Three Pillars Consulting (TPC) is looking to fill an internship position in sales, marketing, and business development to support our company's expansion, with a primary focus on our proprietary Carbon Accounting Software ClimateTab.

The role will assist the Business Development Head in building a prospective client base both locally and internationally. Responsibilities include customer outreach, scheduling meetings, conducting market research, benchmarking, analysis, creating marketing content, work-related travel, and supporting other activities as directed by the Business Development Lead and CEO.

Exposure to social media marketing and graphic design would be advantageous. Also, an understanding of marketing Software and Climate Change is a plus.

TPC is based out of Muscat, Oman, but works internationally with a diverse range of clients in various sectors, including oil / gas, energy / electricity, logistics, telecommunications, agriculture / livestock, and others.

TPC provides both consultancy (i.e. assessments, analysis, and reports for enhancing decision making) but also provides our clients with tools, software and training for supporting client's operations and needs. Therefore, the intern’s role will also involve developing relationship with potential customers, understanding their needs, and demonstrating how our tools and software can address those needs.

Duration and Commitment
The duration of the position will be for 6-Months (with possibility of extension based on performance). Working hours will be from 8:30am-5pm daily and the intern will work from our offices in Muscat, Oman.

Technical Requirements

Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.

Strong communication, research, and analytical skills.

Strong commercial acumen.

Proficiency in presentation, documentation, and preparing proposals.

Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of product and in particular Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Proficiency in other software such as Adobe Illustrator, other Graphic design and social media software will be a plus.

Non-Technical Requirements

Good prioritization and time management skills.

Good writing skills, with the ability to contribute to high-quality manuals and technical documentation for supporting the applications.

Good communication and collaboration skills with clients, team members and other relevant stakeholders.

Self-organized, Self-motivation, Diligent, Reliable, and Proactive. Can work independently and on schedule.

Iterate quickly and communicate ideas across various levels of fidelity, with the ability to receive feedback constructively as well as provide feedback to other’s work.

Fluent in English (written and oral), while Arabic is a plus.

Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
