ClimateTab supports both Corporate-Level and Product-Level Accounting. Specifically for Corporate-Level Accounting, ClimateTab follows the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance, and GHG Protocol Scope 3 Stadnard as well as ISO 14064. For Product-Level Accounting, ClimateTab follows the GHG Protocol Product Standard as well as ISO 14067. Users can quickly and easily toggle (switch) back and forth between their absolute (Corporate-Level) Emissions and their Product-Level Emissions with the click of a button.

ClimateTab offers a wide range of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions factors. Sources include well-known references such as IPCC, U.S. EPA, U.K. DEFRA, and others such as proprietary life-cycle assessment databases. ClimateTab provides Emissions Factors with various types of units so that users can easily enter their data without having to convert values prior to entry into the software. ClimateTab also relies primarily on Activity-Based Emissions Factors but other Input-Ouput and Spend-Based Emissions Factors are included, for companies that historically have managed their value chain emissions with those types of EFs.

Users will have the ability to easily toggle (switch) back and forth between Operaional, Financial Control, and Equity Share boundaries with the click of a button. As you start to structure your corporate portfolio within ClimateTab, you are able to define the Equity Share of those assets, which are then automatically incorporated into the GHG calculations when the Equity Share option is enabled in the dashboard.

ClimateTab provdes an easy and effective way to enter in both Location-Based and Market-Based Activity Data, while selecting for the corresponding Grid-Average or Residual Emissions Factors, respectively. Users can toggle (switch) between these options at the click of a button. If your company has supplier specific Emission Factors (e.g. through a PPA, EAC, I-REC, etc.), then our team can ensure that those EFs are added into the Scope 2 EFs under your subscription.
